Hi everyone, I'm new here...

I have a question about Front Side Bus speed. I have an Albatron PX845Pev Pro motherboard that is capable of 800 FSB with overclock, a Pentium 4 2.4 HT, and a 512mb DDR 400.

According to the owner's manual for my motherboard, it says that if my CPU Host frequency is 200 and my DDR:CPU ratio is 2 then I will be running at 800 FSB, is it true ?

How do I check if I am running at 800 FSB ?

Thanks...

Download CPU-Z or Wcpuid. You can find the link in the first thread of the Overclock/CPU forum.

If you can set the FSB to 200MHz and the memory divider to 1:1 you'll be running a proper 800MHz QDR.

Ahhh...Unless I am blatently clueless, 800MHz bus speed = FSB of 200MHz x 4 (quadpumped)

Yep the P4 FSB is 200Mhz but 800FSB effectivly (quad-pumped). Ahh another victim of intel marketing
