OK, I have a gigabyte 2004 rz series mobo and I have just purchased a new case. I am trying to connect the front USB and sound ports on it to my mobo but am unsure how and the manual did not help me. The case has two front usb's and a mic in and headphones socket. Any ideas, i have pics but not sure how to post them. Also, here is the name of the cables:

USB:
- GND 2
- DATA +2
- DATA -2
- VCC 2
- GND 1
- DATA +1
- DATA -1
- VCC 1

Sound:
- MIC IN
- GND
- L OUT
- L IN
- MIC BIAS
- GND
- R OUT
- R IN

Thanks guys...

Looks to me like page 28 of your motherboard manual describes it. I'd suggest plugging the cables marked 1 to the motherboard USB connector pins marked 0, and the cables marked 2 to USB connector pins marked1.

Use only one motherboard connection (I'd use F_USB1). Then
GND 2 to pin 8
DATA +2 to pin 6
DATA -2 to pin 4
VCC 2 to pin 2
GND 1 to pin 7
DATA +1 to pin 5
DATA -1 to pin 3
VCC 1 to pin 1

I'm making the assumption that the odd lines are for the first USB connector, the even for the second based on the labeling of the data lines.

I'm a little baffled by the sound connector / cable connection. Maybe later, after a beer or six, I might be more help.
