Front pocket wallet recommendations?

Right now, I have this one: http://www.storus.com/site/products/smc.html

I need something that can hold 6-7 cards like that, except I'd prefer a leather wallet, not like this metal one. I know I'll be asked, and so I have 2 ID's (school + driver's license), 2-3 CC's (needed), health insurance, car insurance, access card, and a AAA membership.

From what I can see, most leather wallets with that much space will have to be a bifold, which I want to avoid because they aren't thin.

Any thoughts? I don't carry a lot of cash and so I don't even need a wallet with a clip. If it has a clip, I'll use it, but isn't needed.

Try to get an eelskin instead of calfskin.

Its stiffness will make it look a lot newer over the years.

I generally prefer clips to wallets.
If I have to use a wallet, I prefer a simple leather billfold. Overall it seems to be better than a trifold.

I just get something simple at the mall once every few years. Never spend more than 10 bucks. If it falls apart I dont care.

Mom got me a nice money clip and thats what I try to use when possible.

Excellent, just ordered that Howard. I think it's the same as what I linked to at Amazon, ended up buying it from ebags.com and got free shipping, was only $20 after everything.

All these replies and not one Communist Card joke?

Howard, that one you posted looks like a winner. I think I might order one too. I right now I just carry my 6 or so cards with my bills folded over, but not clipped. It does actually work pretty well.

EDIT: Ordered from Amazon (seller is belt outlet). 5.95 for expedited shipping (1-3 days). Not bad.

I just use a straight money clip. Holds a few bills and ~6 cards. It does take a while getting used to not dropping everything each time you take a bill out. Course, that's probably why you want a wallet.

Yeah, I use the one I linked to. It's perfect for me, and probably millions of others.

since i read all 5+ pages on thin/front wallets, ill save YOU the time: get a Dopp front getaway

clear pocket: License, old Student ID (for discounts!), medical card, dental card (both thick paper)
inner pocket: 6/7 of my business cards, with room to store others that i collect
3 card-slots: amex, MC, visa...but i can easily hold double-cards each slot
expandable inner pocket: a bunch of bills, and bunch of receipts

all of that stuff in my pocket and its still very thin and comfortable to carry

Man, I'd really like one of these front wallet types... I put my tri-fold leather in my front pockets and it's kind of uncomfortable. It was a gift from my dad though, so I don't exactly want to get rid of it yet.

Great, I just spent $25 on something I don't really need 😛

You think that's bad...I went to amazon to look at the wallet and ended up dropping $140 for a sex and the city dvd set for the GF....I blame it on all the cold meds I'm taking....

This is the one I carry. I really like it. I prefer a money clip, but one that flips open rather than one that works on tension.
Do those magnetic things keep the bills secure enough? The one I've seen in Walmart is okay but not sure if the magnet is strong enough to hold bills well.

i cant speak for that specific wallet, but when I had a fossil wallet which used a magnet, as long as you werent holding more than 10 or so bills (just a guess on the #s...dont really remember exactly), it did a good job.

I've used that one (Front Getaway Pocket) for a while as well, I like it a lot.

My Dopp wallet came from Amazon today. It has a bunch of ($1) bills in the money pocket, one card each in the 3 slots, 3 cards in the clear plastic part (id, student, and metro card), and 2 debit cards, insurance, and 5 business cards on the inside pocket. It's no thicker than how I was carrying my crap around before.

Great recommendation to anyone looking for something similar.

I have a front pocket wallet from Fossil that I got at an outlet a couple of years ago. It's overall pretty thin and definitely smaller than a regular bi-fold. My requirement when I was shopping was a clear pocket for my DL. This wallet has one.

I have my DL, CCW permit, med ins. card, 2 CC's & 2 bank cards + stash of $2's for emergency cash. My chiropractor recommended a front pocket wallet because I was having lower back pain.
