front panel audio question

my motherboard is the msi k8n neo4 platinum. and is it possible to have both the front line in on the back and the one in the front work at the same time, or do i have to one or the other, like if i connect the line in at the front will that disable to line in at the back of the compyuter

ya i tried it but only the ones on the front panel worked the ones on back didn't work anymore

I have the same question with a 9npa+. Do I take out the plug/jumper things that are blocking the MIC/SPKR plugs for the Front Panel? Will that disable the back panel MIC thing?
