Front panel and audio headers.

I've got an Abit Fatal1ty mobo. It has 9 audio headers labeled:

1: MIC2 L (Microphone 2 Left)
2: AGND (Analog Ground)
3: MIC2 R (Microphone 2 Right)
4: AVCC (Analog VCC Power)
5: FRO-R (Front Right)
6: MIC2_JD (Microphone 2 Jack Detect)
7: F_IO_SEN (Front I/O Sensor)
8: (none)
9: FRO-L (Front Left)
10: LINE2_JD (Line 2 Jack Detect)

The 7 headers coming from my case read:

MIC-VCC
MIC-IN
GND
EAR L
EAR L
EAR R
EAR R

I just can't figure out which ones go where. All that I'm REALLY sure of is GND. If someone out there could help me out, I'm sure it's pretty easy, it's just my first build, and I haven't done this before.

Thanks!

Sounds to me like your case is wired for the AC97 standard and your motherboard has the new Intel HD standard. I don't think they are compatible.

MIC-VCC connect to Analog VCC
MIC-IN connect to Mic 2 R (if that doesn't work, switch it to Mic 2 L)
GND gonnect to AGND
EAR L one of these should have a +, Connect + to Fro Left
EAR L the other a -
EAR R same as above, Connect + to Fro Rt.
EAR R - don't know about these
Check the case and mobomfr's web site too. Sometimes they have more explanation in their FAQ or support pages. Here's hoping your case and/or mobo is from a mfr. that cares about their users...
