I dont know if anyone has had this problem with front page but I created a webpage with a theme from their software including a background and buttons. Now that the page is published on the web, the background colors are not working (its a different color than it showed while I was creating the page) and the buttons are also not working (they are little white boxes with red x's in the middle)
does anyone know what I should do? Has anyone had this problem with front page?

It sounds like all the necessary files were not posted, OR your web host does not support FrontPage extensions.

For the first case, did you transfer the site to your host using FrontPage? or an FTP program? If you didn't use FrontPage, try posting it that way.

For the second case, verify your host supports FrontPage extensions.
