Front of Case USB?

I am getting a list of things I want to put in a computer I will be building for myself in the next 2 months and have been looking for front panel USB options. So far, I haven't found any. None of the major hardware review sites seem to have reviews on something like this, nor can I find stuff on merchants' webistes. Can somebody give me some advice?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess that would do, it is more asthetically pleasing than the only one I was able to find in my searches. If anyone else has suggestions, I would like to hear them.

What would I use it for? Right now I have 5 USB devices and am running them off an external hub, so I definately will use the built-in ports.

Right now (from what I have seen/read) the only use for firewire is external hard drives and digital cameras. Neither of which I have. I guess I would be interested in seeing something, if it is reasonable, I would probably get it so my system will be "ready for the future."

well, i wanted the same thing, something to plug a gravis gamepad into or something like that and NOT have to go into the sea of messed cables behind my tower, so i took the extra 3 port usb plate that came with my asus A7V motherboard and cutt some holes into a 5.25 face plate adn then attached the usb panel to the face plate, hooked up the wire to the board header and presto...if your board didnt come with an extra usb panel, and your board does have an additional usb header, then you can buy these panels for a relatively low price , i know belkin makes them.

i like colorcase.com for neat stuff like that... they have lots of different designs for front usb's... although you're probably not planning to get a whole new case just for front usbs..... heh

If you are going to buy a new motherboard, then most of the new ASUS motherboards (CUSL2 family, a few others) support a 5 1/4 inch bay thing called an iPanel which provides USB ports in the front. You might want to have a look at those.

yeah, those ipanels are pretty cool, they have temp readings on them too i think. Not exactly what you are looking for butif you want to spice up the front of your case, try the audio drive mad by newq, i think there site is newq.com??, i picked up their drive at a computer show last moght and i think its pretty nice eye candy

Thanks for the other ideas. I like the looks of the iPanel, but it looks like I would have to get a P3 board to use it, as the only boards I saw that were CUSL2 are 815 mobos. As for the audio device, I would also get that, but I am planning on getting a SB Live Platinum 5.1, which would make that device complete overkill IMO.
