i did one a while ago... My Case Site. It basically consisted of getting a stereo cable, plus a female-female stereo plug adapter so I could pull off my front case cover without having to pull the entire stereo cable.

thanks, but i was looking for something a that seemed a little more technical.. it seemed that it was wired so you could actually switch between headphones and speakers (which is what I want).

Anyone?

you could just do it with a stereo y-splitter, but I haven't seen one where you can individually split it.

It's called SoundBlaster Live! Platinum. ;) I've got the Live!DriveII and when I plug my headphones into the front plate, it mutes my speakers automatically. :)

There are also some LiveDrive-type units you can buy, which will disable the speakers when the headphones are plugged in. I can't remember now where I read the review, but I'm sure they couldn't be too hard to find. And if I ever find them again, I will post them.

yes, those are $30 (looks cheap) or $70 (it's $70 more than i have :().

Maybe I'll save up for a live drive... but i don't get it, why must they be so damn expensive if I just want the stupid drive.. GRRRR.
