I was just thinkin, I'd like to build a media box that resembles a receiver... even use an old broken reciever maybe. What'd be really nice is to have the reciever interface work w/ the computer. Now, I don't have the know how for that, but was curious as to what kind of LCD/front pannel displays people have seen for custom built/mod cases.

Toss out some links, would love to see em

what type of lcd would i need to display temp status.
Does it depend on my motherboard?

most lcds plug in the usb or serial port so it doesn't matter what motherboard you have so long as the software you have access to can detect your temps (usually motherboard monitor)
basically, if motherboard monitor works, then the lcd will be able to display your temps. If MBM doesn't work but your board does have thermal sensors, you can write the code yourself.

Check out the DVine cases at Newegg. They're designed to look like audio equipment. There's also some smooth stuff in development over on the HTPC section of the avsforums.

Anyone know when we can get consumer (USB or serial) Graphic LCD's? They should be out by now, what's the delay?
