Do I need a 3 or 4 pin fan for the 2 optional front fans? I looked at the motherboard specs on the Asus site but it doesn't say how many fan connections there are on the motherboard. I plan on using an Pal35T with a fan that will use one of the mb fan cconnectors... From the inside view pdf file I downloaded for the sx830 it looks like the 2 rear fans use 4 pin power connectors but I could be mistaken. I know many of you are using this combo, what have you found is best?

There are 3 3-pin connectors on a CUSL2. You could do this, have 1 fan in the back use a 3-pin connector and the other a 4-pin, and do the same in the front.

That way you can monitor one exhaust and one intake fan.

Are there connectors for a 4 pin fan to a 3 pin MB power connection? I'm running 4 x 4 pin case fans- all off PS connections. Wouldn't mind being able to monitor w/MB connection.

Usually not, because the fan needs to have a rpm sensing circuit built in... in the case of 4 pin case fans, they may/may not the circuit, but even if they do, you can't adapt the 4pin-connector to 3 pin. YOu'd have to redo the whole thing onto a 3pin connector.
