How do I get rid of them? I know I can make them hidden, but isn't there any way to just delete them and stop them from coming back? I really just want to get rid of the ICQ one, the Links one doesn't bother me as much.

Um, not exactly sure what your talking about. I understand you want to get rid of them however I never recall losing control over such customization. I don't even both with ICQ bookmarking and didn't even realize that other people would use it or that they even knew it was there. As far as Links Favorite Folder? Why you wouldn't want IE Favorites folder beats me, if your talking about in the interface, just drag and drop the ones you don't want. Add what you want to your favorites or delete the bookmarks you don't want.

LOL, did I not explain it well enough? Or doesn't anyone else have this happen? Under Favorites after a clean install you have some preset favorites. Well, I don't use them and want to delete them ALL and make my own new ones. Well, they all delete expect the "Links" folder. You can delete it, but when you restart IE5.5 it shows up again for me. Get what I mean?

I see, can you rename it? I don't think you can delete it. IE uses that particular folder for shorcuts in it's integrated toolbar that you can view. You might be able to hack it, but you'd have to search on that, unless someone else knows?

Actually, I'm OK with the "Links" one, I'll just use that for general stuff. The ICQ one pisses me off tho, it doens't come back everytime like the Links one does, but every few times it will. Any suggestions?

After being erased they both come back after hose programs are opened, what I did was just made them hidden files. This is the only way to do it, unless you do some regediting and find the key that makes them come back.

What you need to do is replace the original ICQTsLib.dll with the hacked version and delete the From ICQ folder afterward and it won't come back after you restart ICQ.

go to www.govital.net/~soz to download the hacked ICQ dll.
