As hot as she is, do you really want to see her naked while in character as a nineteenth century Whitechapel whore?Originally posted by: coldcut
Heather Graham not naked brings it down a notch....
I give it 3 digits up:Q
EDIT: (hit post too quickly) If I enjoyed seeing her as a 20th century pornstar whole, why wouldn't I enjoy seeing her as a 19th century one?![]()

I thought it was a great movie. Johnny Depp was great as always. They had me fooled as to who the real Ripper was up until the last 15-30 minutes or so....

Geez, lack of understanding is baffling
He didnt leave her because of his addiction, or choose the drug over the women. He didn't leave because he did not want to risk Heather Grahams (forgot character name) life. He was certain that the family would watch over him to make sure they had not missed a link in the chain that witnessed the princes marriage to an "unfortunate". He sacrificed his relationship with her, instead of taking the chance of the Society watching him, finding out where she was, and killing her. Thats why his assistant kept insisting that he felt it was safe for him to go to her, that they couldn't still be watching him.
Whats wrong with that ending?
I knew I was missing something...that makes alot more sense, thanks. I hadn't seen it in awhile.Originally posted by: BunLengthHotDog

The royal family thought they had dispatched all that had witnessed the marriage, and would obviously stop at nothing to rid themselves of one more witness. It wasn't just the ripper that was involved, the police chief even knew what was going on, as did the Society. I am sure it would not be too difficult to find another who was loyal to the family to take out the last threat to the throne.
Whats wrong with that ending?

how can you say that it was historically accurate? we know next to nothing as far as who the ripper really was, so the idea that he was caught is inane, almost as funny as the theory that it was the prince himself killing. the theory proposed in the movie is a combination of multiple theories, which make a fun story, but not very plausible. and if you want to look at it historically, who in the hell thought up a twist as hollywood as the investigator falling in love w/ the heroine/damsel in distress?
besides, in real life, heather graham's character was killed as well - the last of the killings
