From GeForce 2 to Radeon 9600 SE

The other day my Eagle GeForce2 died on me, so I went out and got the Radeon 9600 SE. I have not been able to install the video drivers yet. I keep on getting the error:"INF error, video driver not found. Install a Standard VGA driver first". I thought I did that when I went to VIA's homepage and installed their newest 4in1 driver for the VIA KT400 chipset. I also downloaded Driver Cleanup 2.5 and ran that. I keep on getting the same error. Does anyone know what's going on?

I had the same problem with my 9600se card. I went to the ati website and downloaded the newest driver and it works, so far.

I have XP and it kept trying to install the drivers itself.

Good luck.

P.S. I also tried calling ati and could not get through to talk to anyone, but was on hold forever.
