From Dell - Viewsonic VP912b 19-inch LCD Monitor

Great find! The lowest price for this as of yesterday was $620 shipped on amazon.com. I noticed just today amazon.com has lowered their price to $550. This deal is better for $475. Wow, lowest price for this (shipped) just went from $620 to $475 in one day.

I have been waiting quite a while for the price to come down on this and think I will jump on it.

Edit: Shipping at dell.com for this monitor is indeed free ("Limited time only"). I have edited my post to reflect that. Also, I just ordered it. 🙂
 
I think ordering from amazon.com might be the better option.

Amazon.com is $550 - $70 Promotional Certificate = $480 shipped
Dell is $510 - $35 coupon = $475 shipped

But amazon.com ships in 24 hours whereas dell does not ship for 3+ weeks!

I think you're better off having it 3+ weeks sooner for the extra $5 🙂.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Snappo, ya know how to make a man feel needed, sniff sniff. I didn't see it at Amazon, did check too. My thought was if I have problems I can likely deal with Viewsonic easier than Dell. I don't have the order here, but the date they gave was 28th (shipdate or delivery?). I have also been looking for this monitor for a while. I did call Newegg to see if they'd match it and got vetoed.

on amazon i only found the monitor for $539.99 and the $70 promotion certificate is what you get for orders over $500. The catch is that the $70 goes toward a FUTURE purchase. =(
 
I regularly purchase textbooks/DVDs/etc. off of Amazon so it's basically like a mail-in rebate minus the mail-in part...the money is money I would have spent anyway, so it doesn't really matter...

$539 is the price for the VP191B on amazon, VP192B isn't even sold by amazon but it is listed by a 3rd party for $699.

So dell has the deal, go with amazon if you want last years model....

Thx for the great deal Najames! Also, I ordered on Thursday night, and even though my original receipt said it would ship in 3 weeks, I just got an email confirming it has already been shipped! I hope this is the case for everyone else as well...

Edit: Doesn't look like it's the monitor that shipped 🙁, as it's a different sku...not sure what they would be sending ahead of time though...
 
I have had this for a little while now.
I paid $600 shipped though.
It has one dead pixel and Viewsonics policy if 7 or more dead.
It's annoying, but one dead pixel is not bad and most of the time I don't even notice it.
The only bad thing about this LCD is that it has a good deal of glare from lights.
I am going to put up a wall light behind my desk and see if that lowers the glare.

Crap, ordered this from Dell two weeks ago (still waiting for it) for $499 plus tax (total of $530).

It was 10% off, applied a $35 off coupon plus free shipping and another 2% off for using their financing.

I guess I won't cry over $25.

Still can't wait to get it!
 
I emailed for a request to return but asked for a credit because of the price dropping over $50 (actually $53) and they responded to me and will give a one-time refund of the difference. This is not a official policy but as a courtesy to the customers so that they do not return merchandise during the return period. Thanks for the heads up on the price change!

I would appreciate someone who has this monitor to measure the minimum height of the monitor. I have a 15" clearance in my work area and I think the monitor will fit at the lowest setting. I have not been able to find this model in any B&M to confirm size.
