My Symphonic VCR is screwing up all my tapes when I record shows, they seem like they are going in fast-motion. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this or should I just buy a new one bc this POS is worthless anymore?
 
VCR's are just about free these days. It'll cost more just to have it diagnosed, than it would to replace it. Get a new one. 🙂
 
What is it doing? Are you recording in SLP mode and then it's playing them back in SP mode? I'm sure you could manage to override this, or at least force it to play EVERYTHING in SLP mode if you're good at fiddling around with things, but it's really not worth the effort unless you want to do it for fun.

You can get combo VCR/DVD players for $100 easily. WalMart has VCR's for $39 (although WalMart is evil and all that).
 
Sympnonic VCR's suck, their picture quality is horrible, and they have lots o problems, as seen in this thread.
