friggin spyware

Just noticed I was getting pop-ups tonight...
Ran a scan with adaware - nothing found.
Ran a scan with spybot - "congratulations, no spyware found"
Bullsh!t I thought - there's always at least some cookies..
Attempted to run it in safe mode - no spyware found. In safe mode, reinstalled the software, updated it, and suddenly, spyware galore!
Finally got it to scan correctly.... Holy Shit! 124 registry keys and values...
The spyware is disabling adaware and spybot... just a heads up for everyone....
 
Hmmm..... one of the kids installed some game called Zango... one of the kids is going to be grounded from the computer for a week...
 
thats why you pull the old pentium 133 out of the closet and write "FAMILY COMPUTER" on it with a sharpie.

oh, and password protect "daddy's computer"

my brother and i, despite our best efforts to get every free game-looking bit of shareware out there onto the hard drive of our old 233 mhz g3, never managed to crash it completely.
