Just got 3 spindles and 6, 50 pack of slim cases... Thanks for the post Tanner, I'm not a big rebate man but these say if u haven't received within 10 weeks to go check out a site or call a number, so hopefully i'll see it before hand. One per household, heh. Guess I'll have to be pulling some other family member names and business address and p.o box, lol. Thanks again for the post, hopefully I get my $75.00 bux back. Guess its good being in Utah, the store I went to had about 12 other spindles left, and I think the lady said she had some in the back too. lol.

Wow......I"ve only used Fuji's for a while now, but this deal is great, those slim-lines'll really come in handy. Now I can let people borrow CDs in a slim-line case w/o having to worry about the case coming back to me. :) Thanks Tanner!

I went to the Office Depot in Boca Raton, Fl. they took the staples coupon. The manager said they will take any Staples coupon, the csr just type in 99999 in register and then put Staples code in and it took off $10.00.

went to the office depot here in ft. worth and showed the first dood I saw the ad. he mutters 'follow me' so I do. we get over to the CDs and stuff, he go's "well, looks like we're out of the cases." I say that I just called, and confirmed that they DID have some. he go's "oh, ok..." so I watch as he waddles over to this ladder looks at the top shelf. right after I suggest we call to see if another store has some, he makes this little growling noise. then, he heads over to this little spot behind the shelf and grabs another box of cases. I guess he was saving them for himself or something. too bad....

I was at OD in Glen Burnie, MD this morning and picked up the CD-R discs (they were out of stock at Catonsville). They were out of the jewel cases so they instead gave me four packs of Office Depot brand slim jewel cases (actually very nice units). They even accepted my $10 off $10 Staples coupon!

So, it came out to just under $4.00 for the whole lot. That was the beginning of the day. Three hours and two OD stores later, I also had a Compaq fs740 for about $30.00, I figure one of the last in central Maryland :)

why did they doublecharge you for tax?

Well wuhoo, from what they tell me is that you still have to pay tax on free items. I learned that while doing this deal in Irving, TX. THey ran outta imat jewel cases and substituted for the OD ones, so i said cool. When i went to go pay for em, they did the double-charge thing and i was POed :| that the price came up to 41.17 with tax. I pretty sure my math is not wrong, but
34.99 * 8.25% = 2.89 tax
34.99+2.89 = 37.87 total

It was like 3.29 extra tax that i was paying and i too thought that there were no tax on free items so, i just complained for about 10 minutes and then the nice manager gave me $6.18 back. I was willing to pay for the tax on the CDr, but not on the jewel cases. I guess complaining with Mathematics (finally my college degree pays off :D )

Unfortunately I was double-charged tax also, but I guess I'd gladly pay the $2.89 tax to get such a good deal!!!

Rapier glad to see that you gave in! I keep forgetting to go over there and pick 'em up for my sister and cousin! I promised 'em that I'd bring 'em home w/ me this weekend! ACK! :D

as far as the tax thingy...I think that maybe the second tax item was actually taken off...I'm not certain...I didn't really look that close b/c as I said... I had just picked up a FS740 for roughly $34 AR and coupons...so I was like MAN I JUST STOLE stuff or something! :D heheheh

From what I see, you guys did not get charged any extra tax. Look at the math carefully. The $2.89 is the tax you paid on the 100 pk CD-R of $34.99. $34.99 x 8.25% = $2.89. $34.99 + $2.89 = $37.88 (the total you paid in the store).

Would anyone be so kind to enlighten the rest of us how to get to the "$10 off $10" Staples printable coupon? I just checked all my usual coupon sites and all I find are the usual "$30 off $150", etc. ones. Thanks!

good luck w/ the $10 off $10 coupon! Most Staples don't even accept it anymore. Let alone an OD manager!

I went to my local OD tonight...and got the "last set" as the CSR told me... however, that's the same CSR that took it personally when I came back in to PM the 19" Viewsonic down to $99 when the lowered the price :D hehehehehehe :D

anyway, I figure I'll go back in tomorrow morning and find the exact same CDRs and Slimlines :D heheheh, yeah, they'll restock 'em :D hehehehe PUNKS :D

Hope Uall get some hot dealios on these too! :D
