so i just got this pop up and i though it was funny.

if u hit ctrl + n in IE. it will show u the address where it came from if u didnt know that.

i thought wow u a$$es are annoying.
so i took out the 3.htm
and put in 2.htm

and got this fake norton window popup..

http://www2.enigmasoftwaregroup.com/TMP/2.htm

anyway the point of this post is...i guess i somehow downloaded some ad-ware that i cant get rid of.
I have googles popup blocker installed and it has been working great. So unless there is some new script out there that these ppl are using that is getting around googles blocker (which works good normally) then I did download ad-ware somehow.

I cant find it! Neither can my Norton, everytime I restart my computer and check my task manager it is there...BUT! its a new file name in there each time!!!!! so its replicatiing itself with new names kinda like a worm.

Anyone know of a way i can get this sob off my computer? Its not anywhere in my add/remove programs list, so dont mention that...lol im not that lame.
thanks!!! ill buy you an e-beer  if u can help me out.

In addition to adaware and spybot (I use both), hunt for a good hosts file. Sometimes when you borrow someone elses (I got mine from gorilla something or other) it has sites blocked that you don't want blocked. Not a problem - easy enough to edit the hosts file. But, it seems to have saved me from tons of pop-ups. You could just stick your enigmasoftware site into it and bam... no more crap from them.

Thanks for the ctrl n tip.
