And to think, this is nothing. I've seen worse. Right now it "feels like -37" according to the weather station.

If I was at home I could post my thermometer pic to trump yours :p I think it is somewhere in the -37C range. That was a couple years ago though. Currently it is -17 feels like -28C according the weather eye.

Why does 0C line up with 34F on your thermometer? Can't you Canadians figure out that when there are 5 divisions between 30 and 40, they go up by 2's?

Oh, and at 2am, I was back out in my barn - negative double digits (F) here (with the windchill), so I put plastic up over all the openings to keep it a little more air tight.

At least the -40F and -40C are almost lined up.

Cold is just a state of mind. Just think warm thoughts like a nice white sandy beach in Tahiti. If that doesn't work, then walk outside in swimming trunks so people will call the people who carry the funny jackets. If that doesn't work then just live with it.

it's a balmy 19F here today.

I'm really annoyed... my entire apartment is like super hot right now (thermostat turned up to 68) but my bedroom is freezing despite my computer being on.

-9c here according to the clock tower across the street. Sure feels a lot colder. Vary windy. I've been outside working all weekend. At least it's quiet today so I can stay in the nice warm store.

-18c (0F) at the moment. Just came back in from shoveling the fluffy white stuff that came down last night. I'm building my next house with a heated driveway. :p

Like I said I've seen much worse. I'll post later in the year if it goes in the -40 range. Keep in mind that's the temp next to the window, it can easily be 10 degrees colder in middle of the street then add the windchill to that. The coldest I've seen here was -49 without the windchill, but it was actually very calm so there was no windchill.

I find anything colder then -20 and you don't really see a difference, it's the wind that hurts.
