FRIENDS vs How I Met Your Mother - Which is better?

I have watched both the shows and in my opinion, FRIENDS was better with all characters keeping the show alive. Whereas in case of HIMYM, Barney was the sole light bearer that kept the show together.

What's your take?
 
Himym was a better comedy. barney was better than chandler, phoebe and Joey together.
 
Friends was better. Funnier and a better drama. But HIMYM was still really good on both counts, enough to make it close. It just lost a little momentum later on.

HIMYM does have Robin Sparkles, though, so it is almost a tie just because of that. 😀

Never seen an episode of How I met your mother. Never interested me.

Did watch friends and I still watch reruns when I'm on the treadmill or working out.

Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers, WKRP, All in the Family, Soap etc were all good in their day.

The world is different these days obviously.

Have never watched How I met Your Mother, I guess.

Started watching Orphan Black last night and went through 6 of the first season, I like it.

the series finale (and final season in general) of HIMYM was so bad that it retroactively ruined any previously funny episodes.
