As I type this, my face is covered in tears. My brother (and best friend) was 29 years old. Yes, was 29. I am 25. He died tonight at 11:53pm EST. His life of partying and alcoholism took his life. He died of liver failure. We never knew he drank this much until now, and he lived with me. He started getting sick Thursday and is now dead 5 days later. It can happen that quickly. Please hold your dear ones close and never forget to tell them that you love them.

i am 29, my brother is 27, and to think of that bond breaking breaks my heart. take care during this holiday season. may you find the strength to carry forth your brother's spirit and let it become part of you. God bless you!
 
losing a family member is tough, even tougher around holidays. no words can make it right or make you feel ok. i buried two people the same day a week ago today, my grannie and a friend who accidentally shot hisself in the chest while hunting. you are in my thoughts and prayers my friend. if you need someone just shoot me a pm or you can even call my cell, its tough we can mourn together.

I know how you feel. Lost two uncles on my dad's side to the SAME DAMN THING!!!:| One of them just about 3 months ago. Had liver failure, was in the hospital for a few weeks, then he died🙁

I'm sorry for your loss. Did he have a medical condition (other than addiction) that exacerbated his liver's deterioration?
 
That is so true, hold your love ones close...you never know when the day will come when they will be gone. And anything you may have wanted to tell them, you won't be able to.

A guy I used to work with is in similar shape. He's in need of a liver transplant or doesn't have much longer to live.
