Friend's nextel phone has a sim card...

I was like WTF? Does nextel use GSM or not, I thought they were linked with sprint...

Nextel phones used iDEN, and yes they have sim cards. Sprints network is CDMA, not GSM too.

I tried putting his sim card in my phone and it said "insert network code", does this mean it would've work had I known it?

you shoulda just entered in random numbers for that netowrk code.

didn't work, wasn't too desperate anyways... He tried using the network code he knows but it didn't work...
