a while back i built up a computer for a friend, using 2*256mb corsair pc2700 CL2 modules. initially there were problems, ie page in non-paged area, i deduced that this meant ram was possibly being over-stretched (it was running 2-2-2-6 166mhz) so i relaxed timings to the point of 3-4-4-8 before it would be stable.

After remembering i had seen in forums of corsair needing a little more juice to be stable at stock frequency, i upped voltage to 2.77volts. seemed to work, i installed windows xp without a problem and no more blue screens, or so i thought. a few months later he says it's been crashing etc, apparently been crashing for a while. once again its the same old page error BSOD, have had to clock it down to 133mhz and its perfectly stable, i have yet to test the sticks individually but im sure this is a case of a simple RMA or have i missed something out?

-also a thing to note is that both sticks were very.. VERY hot to the touch at 166mhz 2.77volts, maybe 50C or so and this was with heat spreaders
