Pretty sure if you don't know what Usenet is, you never had one to begin with...

It's so secretive, one of the weekly news magazines (Time or Newsweek) did a cover story on Usenet (specifically alt.bin.*) like 10 years ago. Most of the people who use Usenet now are, well, noobs.

Then why do most of the people who use it now call torrenters noobs? Just because it's relatively new compared to Usenet?![]()

Immigration? What's with the Homeland Security logo?

WHOA! Slyck has contacted the FBI to ask whether they have shutdown the website. I think that would've been a bad move, because if it wasn't then they'll shut it down anyways. What irony!

Dunno about that, I have only been using bit torrent for a couple years so I am still pretty new at it I guess. Never even heard os usenet but if it has been around for many years thats probably why. I tend to be a "next gen" nerd, not so concerned about "old" tech.

Site shut down. Maybe he should've kept his mouth shut.

Fvck, so glad I rarely used ET. In fact, I think I only ever used it once.
