What I don't get is why the sites get in trouble, they're not hosting anything but the tracker. That contains nothing illegal. How do they arrest the site owners. Unless the owners were also the main seeders.
I'm glad I don't use that site. Hope they don't take out other sites though, I still gotta get my stuff. But come on, how stupid do you have to be to post star wars before it comes out in the theatre. It is the biggest movie of the year, of course something is going to happen.
If you read the CNN article linked to the Slashdot article, you'd note that what the FBI was *primarily* after were the 'first providers' - the first guys who were originally sharing the content in question (they note 'Episode III' as the cause of the event).
It may well be that the site DOES come back - they really *aren't* doing anything illegal - but they are shut down for now as the FBI will have subpoenas to collect all the tracker log files for the Episode III stuff. They are trying to track down who all started it, basically.
FWIW, anyone who downloaded Episode III via any means is fairly well retarded. There was a LOT of money there, and where there is a LOT of money, people get extra-special-pissy about theft.

Theres a big difference between free porn, which is provided "free" by the producers of the porn (which can be produced for 25$+) and multi billion dollar movie which you pirated before its release
It seems shut down... from all the news articles and what not, but the current message is definately hacked though.. i mean just view souce, and do a trace on the IP.. lol it points to here
