I was referring to what I read in the latest Super Street (with a bright yellow WRX on the cover), - the issue dedicated mostly to the WRX, - that there will be a ProDrive version, which will be very much like a WRC car (well, except costing just a fraction of it), that will be 30K sharp, but will not have even AC as far as the regular, suited for a street model of STi, - I do know that it will have AC and such, but until reading this thread I was under an opinion that it will start at 30K, and up depending on options now I don't know any more, and just will wait untill ther are available for sale, for it is silly to discuss something that none is sure of

I would be willing to wager a VERY large amount of money that the Prodrive version will be for Europe only.

Well, I always feel a bit silly, discussing and argueing over things that none knows for sure, but:

it was featured in US magazine, with no disclaimers as to the car not being available in the US

the expected MSRP was in US currency

they were not stating where exactly, but did say when, - that it would be avilable sometime this summer

all of that indicates to me that it will be avilable in the US

on the other hand, due to economy, and market saturation, - WRX sales dropped from 30K units to under 10K units a year, - so, with expected 4K units of STi's coming to US (all figures are a bit of a hearsay, so, if not entirely accurate, - don't scream at me, please), ProDrive version might simply not be in demand big enopuigh to justify ever bothering to bring it here

So true. We rarely see eye to eye, but you, Impreza-whatever, are a flaming troll of the highest order. It's not personal, it's not an 'attack'. It is the plain and simple truth.

Most of what you have posted is for the sake of argument, and I am afraid you really will not last long round here if you keep pissing people off, whether you think it is fair or not.
