Friend just bought an '02 Maxima SE

RambleOn

My friend just took delivery of a brand new 02 Maxima SE. The car's sweet looking, majestic blue. The only thing is, he bought an automatic!<gasp> I couldn't believe he'd buy a badass Maxima and get a slushbox to accompany that 3.5 V6, rather than the 6-speed. I haven't had a chance to go for a ride in it yet, so I was just wondering what the performance specs are for the automatic Maxima's. It only has 130 miles on it now, so he's not going to abuse it <yet>. I'm thinking it runs probably high 15's in stock form? That sound about right? I know there's a lot of Maxima fans on this board, so I figured this would be the place to ask.

All I bought today was a soda, slice of pizza and a salad, I'm jealous RambleOn 🙁

Believe me, I'm jealous too. Makes me want to trade in my old 92 Buick and my now getting old 97 Chevy Silverado P/U. I've considered a new car myself, but I just can't afford the $349 a month for 5 years that he's paying. I'm just gonna keep driving my current vehicles until they die.

Is mid 14's for the automatic? If so, then what do they run with a manual? That's quite impressive. Anyone know the 0-60's on these cars too?

<< It's funny to see people discussing the 1/4 mile times of a family sedan. >>
