Well I don't know too much about what she can bring back, but I will tell you what NOT to bring back, and that is sushi. depends what interests you have...My wife is japanese and we are trying to figure out things to shuffle back and forth.

I know lots they dont have, we get money put into her Citibank account all the time to pick up shoes and clothes at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls and Saks Off 5th.

Almost anything leather they love at our prices.

If I went I'd bring back toys, always hot sellers here. There was Domo-kun on ebay last year for $75 that could be bought for around $5USD there.

I like the seaweed wrapped pretzels and Pocky's, their tofu is better too along with alot of other food items.
