friend got a ticket with cinderella license

My friend got a ticket for speeding (58 in a 30). Apparently, this means 4 points on his record. Someone said that with the cinderella license, if you get 2 or more points, your license gets suspended. Is this true? If so, what can he do to get out of this? I think he'd much rather pay more money than get his license suspended. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Almost double the speed limit. Not only should his license be suspended, but his ass should be in jail for reckless drivign.

The one you get when you're 17 in NJ. Its not a full license, there are some restrictions such as not being able to drive with more than 2 non-family members in the car and not being able to drive between 12am and 5am.

Chill out. Unless you know the full details, I don't think you should be making these assumptions. I should have known I would get some posts like this. I guess you've never crossed the speed limit in you life?

Care to share the details then? If it were an emergency, I would assume the cop would not have issued a ticket.

Sorry, don't really feel like giving advice to someone who was going 2x the speed limit on a cinderella's license. Did he even have a decent excuse?

Going 28 over the highway is dangerous, but going nearly 60 in a 30 (residential most likely), means he could easily have killed some kids.

I sure as sh!t never went fcking 58 in a 30! Take that kind of moronic driving to Pennsylvania where it belongs.

BTW, By "Cinderella License" I think he's referring to a provisional, limited license which says you can't drive after midnight, can't have more than 1 passenger, etc.

I've been stopped 7 times and I have no points so far. Last ticket I got was 90MPH in a 40MPH zone. This was at 3AM. Nonetheless, I beat that bimmer BADDD..thats what you get when you try a VR6 🙂

humm lets see. A 17 year old doing 58 in a 30. The only help he needs is the judge to take his license away until he is mature enough to drive with some sense.

why do you need help if it was really your "friend" who got the ticket.
60 in a 30 = wreckless
60 in a 30 with a cinderella liscense = punkass b1tch with no liscense
let the punkass b1tch eat it. he doesn't deserve to drive if he can't follow the rules.

58 in a 30 is not simply "crossing the speed limit". your friend deserves to have his license taken away unless he was trying to save someone's life or something.

chiilll out?!?!?! wtf man, of course we all go over the speed limit, daily driving...5 over, no big deal, but DOUBLE the limit?!?!?!?!? geeeeez he should get his carcass tossed in a cell

My sentiments exactly.

Imagine going 53mph down a subdivision street!!

this is why 17 year olds don't have full driving privelages and have insurance costs that are outrageous.

yep...his license is gone.

unless he can go to court and try to get it down to 2 points he gets to wait six months to retake the test.

yeah....i guess your right...28mp over is a lot

i give up, he can deal withit

BTW, it absolutely was NOT A RESIDENTIAL AREA

There are plenty of streets in my area where traffic steadily flows at 45-50mph on 30mph streets. Granted, 58 may be on the high side but depending on the street I don't think it would normally mean reckless driving. (Unless it's through 2-lane residential streets or something)

Doesn't matter. Speed limit is 30 for a reason. Your friend* is a dumbass.
