Just had this at the Texas State Fair. A bit chewy and not as oily as I thought it'd be. Not too shabby, but I could feel my heart clogging up just ordering it. A tad different than just the chicken skin off [insert_fave_chicken_place_here]'s fried chicken.

I still say the Publix grocery stores in Florida make the best fried chicken money can buy. And it's dirt cheap. Everytime I go to Florida I have to have it.

I think there was some sort of breading on there, but not much. Not even as good as pork cracklins. And yes, everything was too expensive and seemed like most the fried stuff had too much batter that you can't really even taste what it's supposed to be.

While I love fair food I don't see what's so special about this one. What's the difference between this and the skin off the chicken from KFC? I know it's a bit more fried but I could imagine that's about it.

At any rate it looks delicious.

What happens to all of the skin from boneless, skinless chicken breast? If my grocery store would sell just that, I'd be quite the fatass. There's very little as good as fried chicken skin.

I didn't eat all of it by myself. :p With fair food, you go in with a plan and buy and share with others so you get a little of everything. The chicken skin was pretty good, but not as good as it looked.
