Tonight, probably nothing really. Maybe the wife and I will go out for a bite to eat but beyond that I doubt we'll do much of anything.

At some point this weekend I'm going to go to Bass Pro Shops and buy a FoodSaver they have on sale.

Gotta do some yard work and clean out my gutters that I never got around to doing last fall.

I'm planning on cleaning up and waxing my motorcycle also at some point and need to change my wifes cars oil also.

Sunday we might go catch a AM movie since they're extra cheap, though I'm not sure what we'd see yet.

So basically, a whole lot of nothing exciting.

Messing around with the new system I built (getting the last of the drivers loaded, updating and installing software, copying over files from my other hard drive...that type of stuff).

Tomorrow I'm riding up to Julian with some friends on our motorcycles for some apple pie.

Driving up to LA from SD to hit up downtown LA with some buddies of mine.
Then on Saturday, I'm hitting up DODGERS STADIUM for Korea vs. Venezuela in the WBC semi-final game. SWEET. I've been to almost all California-hosted WBC games so far since 2006. Too bad I can't go to the USA vs Japan game (rain+need to drive back to SD to work :( :().
http://forums.anandtech.com/me...id=38&threadid=2284262 Go Korea! Go USA!

EDIT: Julian = SD's best weekend drive/relaxation place ever. Damn, maybe I'll get a group and head to Julian next weekend. Awesome.

Thankfully, absolutely NOTHING. We've had family over for dinner the last 3 weekends in a row. Family dinners here are 6-8 hour-long affairs with people talking constantly...nevermind the money spent for the food and the house-cleaning before and after. /wipes sweat from brow

I told the wife "no company at all" this weekend. I also told her "I'm not going anywhere either."

I learned to include that latter disclaimer after saying the former one weekend...only to have her make plans at her relatives' house for the weekend. I got chumped once, then I got smart.

Food.
Beer.
Guitar.
Games.
Sex.
Sleep.

Maybe not in that order. That's my weekend.

Well, I was off sick from work today (legitimately), and my wife and daughters are 1000 miles away ... so I'll be watching movies, and relaxing, trying to recuperate. Might play a few video games depending on how I feel, but more likely will be watching some NCAA action.

Same as I've done every weekend for the past 25 months...homework, homework, homework.

Oh man. You've got a for real, legitimate kitchen-pass and you're ill? :( Very sorry to hear that. Hope you recuperate quickly and have some quality me-time this weekend.

Marriage is a strange thing. Used to be when the GF went away for the weekend it was party time; I'd leave the house on Friday and stumble back in Sunday night some time.

Now, I drop the wife off at the airport on Friday, go home, lock myself in the house and don't even open the window blinds until Sunday night. :p Ah, relaxation!

I bought a block of hebrew national beef franks and a block of low sodium thick cut bacon. I think I'll cook 'em for breakfast tomorrow. Yes, all of them.

You're so right ... but even if I don't recuperate fully this weekend, I actually have next weekend too. Chances are I'll still sit around home for the most part ... maybe get out for a round of golf with some friends ... but no drinking at the moment for me.

Thanks for the condolences :p

Wait until pain meds kick in - I overdid it yesterday - and then watch TV with ice on my shoulder.
