Friday Night Lights just happens to be the perfect example of what's wrong with entertainment in America these days.

First there was the mediocre book. That mediocre book spawned a bad movie rendition. That bad movie rendition led to a terrible serialized TV drama. Now word is that the terrible serialized TV drama will result in another movie.

Seriously folks? People are supposed to be excited about a movie based on a TV show that was already based on a movie that was itself based on a book that wasn't that good to begin with? What's next, The Continuing Adventures of Harry Potter on Saturday mornings and then in a theater near you?

The TV Drama was awesome, wtf are you talkin' bout?

Top 5 shows I've ever seen. The last season sucked though, the first 3 or so were perfect.

The movie was not bad, and the TV show as fantastic.

You're an idiot

The book was decent, and the movie was good (it helped that the movie kinda related to me at the time as I was a high school senior playing football in texas in 2004 when the movie came out).

But, the TV show? Sucked. Yet I still watched it for some reason. I always hoped that the show would have focused more on the football and less on the teen drama shit. Instead we got a show full of annoying characters and bullshit drama. How that show got so popular still baffles me.

I got tired of all those inspirational football movies when they seemed to come out every year.
