I'm losing my passion for these threads. Everyone's desktop looks the same:

-Plain Windows like me
-Anime Overkill
-Macs suck but I have a Mac skin for Windows
-Some kind of crazy desktop from out of nowhere

We need innovation!

Hey I like my plain desktop. I added links and google search to my desktop this week .. that's about as innovative as I get.

I find some interesting art and then edit it slightly.... that then becomes my desk of the week! Innovation at its best (or worst).

Woohoo another LS user! I'm more of an all out functionality-whore myself but I like it, doesn't look TOO minimalistic (at least compared to some of the LS themes out there).

That is true, but it seems much more minimalistic at 1024x768 and 1280x1024 *daydreams about previous monitor while it worked*, and I do actually use what is there...if I don't need to see it or click on it it just ain't there. The CPU meter is a good reminder for me to get 512MB RAM when I get a job this summer :). I have a few ideas about getting it to use less space, but they involve it temporarily using more (like clicking on spot X and getting the taskbar dropdown--not the popup menu one), but w/ 800x600, they get too cluttered too fast. Currently it can be taken down to just the square with the triangle on it (moving to right next to the rainmeter), but I hardly ever do it (it's mainly there for D3D and OpenGL apps where the LS stuff flickers on top of them).

Maybe, but functionality comes first, IMO.
I'd have a much different background...except most of the ones I really like blend things together too much...I like my transparent console more than a really nice background.

1. Plain windows are good...until I get a legal XP for myself :). Windowsblinds bogs it down (not much, but enough that I notice)
2. Easy to find such wallpapers. It's either that, a hot ride or a hot chick in most cases, and sometimes all three. But eh. I like seeing what's on top of the BG image.
3. Macs do suck; but the Mac OS interface doesn't :).
4. We need more of those.

Lastly, if I get a higher resolution, and/or enough litestep modules work w/ transparency (or the likes of Serenade get features and stability enough), and a better resolution, I have way too many ideas for what I can do...they just use up too much space at 800x600. Alas, I still have $300 to go before I have enough RAM, HD space, and quiet (going to AX-7, new case, PSU, RAM, 80GB HD).

I was just about to ask that, your desktop always impress' me :D Looking awesome again.

BTW, where can i download that calender thing you used to have on your desktop (and all those other gadgets....:p)

Mines in the Sig again, updated it last night :cool:
