Everything goes on the desktop because it's incredibly convenient. I try to keep half the screen cleared most of the time though.

BTW, my desktop, which rarely changes (though I have experimented with MS's built-in themes a bit, and right at the moment I'm running the default blue WinXP one), can be seen here.

I got it from ThemeXP, but their server crashed and lost all the old Themes. I don't know if they replaced this one or not, but if you have StyleXP and would like a copy just PM me and I'll send it to you. It's called XPmania's Longhorn v8 Pro.
