According to my clock, it is 12:25 AM Friday in Bangkok. Good enough. 😀

First, the obligatory link to CoolMon, the program that puts info on Windows desktops.

Second, my desktops!

My gaming rig (Windows 2000 w/KDE): Low quality High quality
My workstation (Slackware Linux 8 w/KDE) (1 week old): Low quality High quality
My server (Mandrake Linux 8 w/Enlightenment): Low quality High quality

Finally, the comps themselves (both 1 week old):

Server and workstation: Low quality High quality
Gaming rig: Low quality High quality

BTW, if your desktop is in any way not safe for work or school, please say so. It's hard to enjoy an FDT when you have to do an "emergency kill" every other pic. 🙂

Question about coolmon...can you guys get the tray icon to hide? When i check the "hide icon" in the options, it hides for like 1 second, and comes right back😛

I'm just popping in from the Ars Technica forums to tell you that today version 0.90 of CoolMon was released, it has a couple of bug fixes, some new features and apparantly also a new bug: hide icon doesn't work anymore. 🙂 Put that under work in progress please...

Edit: That's confirmed, the code that make the icon reappear if explorer.exe crashes does not let you hide it. Will be fixed.

So sue me, I'm an anime fan. Have a little program that changes the background pic every time the pc starts, and have 400+pics (anime, video games, comics) that it randomly chooses one from. If this thread's still around tommorow, I'll post whatever pops up.

I'm not at home atm so I can't post my desktop but man.. some of these are making me ache to put Red Hat 7.2 back on my system.. just gotta wait another 2 weeks and then I get to put it back on... Woo!
