I'd tell him I have one... wait for him to ask if he can borrow it, and say no... I'm not a fricken rent-a-center.

hehe while i think he should be a little more mature on the matter this is funny. I would love to see the look on his face if the OP says that.

for those that told me to get a GEO, I got a car and it gets decent gas mileage

Anyways, waggy, I wouldn't be pissed if he said "No dude, we're running out of time (and we weren't), can't you drop it afterwards?". But these are his exact words: "No, I'm not your taxi, I'm not gonna waste my time on your personal stuff."

I told him to fvck himself with a bong. Frickin dumbass, cant wait to see his crackass on Friday.

After 15 minutes of driving, I asked him if he minded stopping by Blockbuster so I can drop off a movie (Blockbuster is on our way, we drive by it) and he said "No. I'm not your taxi." I thought he was joking as all it takes is 30 seconds to drop it off and be back on our way. Well, he was serious and I just "sigh"ed and told him to stop the fvckin car and drop me off. Well, then I thought about it and figured I'd be late to my internship if I rode the bus back home and drove. Anyways, since then, I have been avoiding commuting with him. Well guess what? He now asks if I have a digital camcorder. Should I just tell him that I have one but I left it at Blockbuster? Any creative ideas?
Edit: We take turns at carpooling.

Am your camcorder resource boy? No.

Exactly. "Dude, I'm freaking serious, it's 30 damn seconds! Don't pull this sh!t!" And he probably would have stopped by.

i am missing something....in the OP, you said, "I have been avoiding commuting with him." but then you edited "We take turns at carpooling." isnt that contradicting? or i am not understanding it properly?

he used to take turns w/ him carpooling to work.

But ever since that BB incident, he's been avoiding that. Makes sense now?

IMO you being a jackass to him is just about as low as him not taking you to BB.
Bvllsh1t. A camcorder is an expensive piece of equipment. I wouldn't let him borrow it if he's going to be so petty about things.

just tell him "no, I'm not rent a center"...I think he'll get the point. As for carpooling...just carpool with the guy...it saves on gas.

Just tell him that you think lending and borrowing between co-workers could ruin relationships and you dont think it is a good idea. You dont have to be sarcastic or blunt. Or just say you need to know someone better before you lend them stuff.

Most people in a work environment you meet will have different views and lifestyles than what you have. You have to expect this at work. Learning how you are different will help you to understand each other and be able to communicate better. Working relationships dont have to be all chummy with everything coming up roses but you dont have to make enemies either.

We have to have dress pants, shirt, and a tie :) Nothing more, nothing less.

It's Morgan Stanley afterall, you see people with millions of $$$ coming in everday, quite exciting to meet them and network with.

Anyways, as I said, I already told him to go fvck himself with a bong. When he asked why I told him it was because of the Blockbuster incident. Anyways, you know what pisses me even more? 2 days before this Blockbuster thing happened, I was driving and he asked me if we could stop by Hardees for breakfast. And we did. I guess this should put some more perspective into why I'm so pissed off about it. It's gonna be fun on Friday :p

make him leave a deposit for the camera

sign a notorized paper sayign he will give back the camera original condition it was borrowed

then dont lend it to him until he has read the manual and signed a paper stateing he has read and understood said manual

then make him take a test to show his knowledge of the proper care and maintenance of the camera as stated in the manual

then have him give you references of people he has borrowed stuff from before...then actually call them and ask about their experiences.

then run a credit check at his expense

if by this time he still wants to borrow the damn camera...sock him in the face...and say in your face loser next time stop at BBV like daddy told you too..

I'd have done the exact same as you. What a goddamned prick. I hate people who always take from others and never offers anything in return.

What a fvcktard "No i'm not stopping, i'm not your personal taxi...". Should have punched him in the weewee really hard at that time. Or at least throw a brick at his door. :)
