Remember couple years ago when the fire ripped through everything east of the 15? That was BAD. The sky turned orange, and it was raining ash. It was surreal, and I couldn't walk outside w/o coughing a bit.

yeah, i could smell it in the air at work and at home. i pretty muched closed everything down also jules.

btw, that looks like north sante fe heading towards mission/76 from the end of melrose. but that hill on the horizon is throwing me off and telling me i may be wrong but in the vicinity.

btw, that looks like north sante fe heading towards mission/76 from the end of melrose. but that hill on the horizon is throwing me off and telling me i may be wrong but in the vicinity.

That's the thing, we're like 60-70 miles away! The fire is in Cabazon which is out near Palm Springs but the Santa Ana winds were blowing really hard yesterday which whipped up the fire and pushed tons of smoke and ash toward the coast.

BTW-Four Firemen were killed by this blaze yesterday.

i get out of work at 4:30 so its usually around 4:45pm when im going through that area. i used to go through business park and stop by to visit my best friend who works there but ever since the melrose extension i just go up a couple lights and go directly to melrose to get home.
