Yes. You taint whiskey. You are no man. As for the OP, meh... That's like soco and lime I guess. I think the only thing that jeapordizes your man card is that you described the lime as fresh sqeezed.

Yes. An anything sour is a girlie drink. You might as well order a fuzzy navel.

Figured as much. I saw it ordered once by some guy in a movie (American Psycho 2?) a while back and was curious.

I'll stick to my scotch... neat.

Single malt or blended? Remember the your man card depends on the answer ;)

Hmm the question is, what suddenly gave you the idea to squeeze some lime into scotch? So random, despite how it turned out.

Makers Mark is bourbon not scotch.

What about a whiskey sour? Is that worthy of man card revocation?

real men don't drink Whiskey, it's for Pussies who can't handle something like Barardi 151. anything 100 proof or less is laughable to a real man.

How's this?
I get off work at 7 AM every morning. My wife makes me breakfast/dinner and I have some Sleepy Time tea with it.
After the meal, I have more tea with Maker's Mark in it.
Then I kick the dog, rustle some cattle and go to bed.

Some people like to taste their alcohol, not conquer it. :p
I'm not really a whiskey or scotch fan, but maybe just haven't had the good stuff and am getting turned away wrongly. That would be very true with some liquors. Like tequila. Hate the stuff if its cheap, but Patron or better? mmmm
Otherwise, gin or vodka are my choices, or a beer with flavor. :)

Never understood that one. Tastes terrible to me. I'm not entirely sure what I was referring to in that post anyway heh. 'twas from a year ago, and vodka sprite is one of my fav mixes. I vaguely remember being drunk at the time, but that could just be the alcohol talking.

Also, holy thread necro.

Whiskey can not make any man lose a man card under any circumstances.

It's rule #32.

as with most rules, there are exceptions...

oh, dear. that's... unspeakable.

Meh....that's a liqueur derived from malt scotch whiskey, among other things. You'd lose the man card for drinking it, but I don't believe it falls under the whiskey category. It's in whatever category Zima and Tuaca inhabit.

Correct. This falls under the dreaded malt liqueur category.
