so the reduction in road deaths isn't worth the reduction in wine sales. 😕

.05 BAC is rediclous. Here it's .08, and study after study has shown that people at .08 are not impaired while driving to any significant extent. Hence the reason for setting it at .08 and not the prior setting of .1%, where it was shown that impairment significantly reduced the ability to drive.

I think it is insane that everyone is treated the same when it comes to alcohol. Yeah I know it is impossible not to set a limit but damn.

My fiancee can have a half a beer and not be safe to drive. I can honestly drink 5 beers and still be totally safe. I have more tolorance. Technically right now, I can't go out and have more than 2 beers without being considered drunk which is just stupid.

Do I drive after 2 beers? Nope because I can't afford to lose everything I would if I got a DUI.

Every one isn't treated the same in most states if your under 21 and blow a .02 you get a DUI stupidest law ever.

That's why they have it set up the way they do. Absolute max of 0.08, or apparent impairment to the officer, whichever comes first.

Drinking and driving is fine... it's DRUNK DRIVING that's bad. I drink and drive all the time, but as you said, it's only 1 or 2 beers (or more/less depending on time etc). If I feel ANYTHING but normal, no matter how slight, I don't drive.

yea if you had extremely selective vision. a more accurate interpretation is that winemakers don't believe you are a risk if you are under the legal limit.
