just like the ones the Poles found, right?

Yes, the ones found by the poles were made in france, just not the manufacture date was wrong in the first report.

Yes, remember how everyone was saying how evil france was for selling rockets to saddam in 2003. Now its the same thing, officers are quoted as saying "the missiles looked quite new".

You guys can come up with whatever you want to bash France, but you'll excuse me if I don't fall for the same trick twice.

I dont see any france bashing in this thread. It is no secret that france sold quite a bit of military hardware to Iraq. That is not bashing, that is fact.

The french are worthless, pompous, wussy boy losers. They have yet to be of any benefit to the world, they are nothing but a thorn in the side of those whom they are jealous of. They are anti-semetic on all levels... they bash the jews AND the Arabs.... they snub their noses at the United States.... they speak as if they were pure angels, in utter denial, both of their Nazi symapthizers in WWII AND of their colonial efforts in Africa. The french in a word..... suck

There now we have some good solid french bashing.

-Max

Please Note: I refer to the nationalistic entity "the french".... and donnot mean french people on an individual level.... I happen to have a great deal of wonderful french friends... and have no problem with any frenchman on a personal level.

except helping us win our independence from British rule, the lousianna purchase, and bringing about that whole enlightenment period that influenced the founding fathers.

i guess you are the one as usual being "worthless, pompous" etc.

Ah, the old "What have you done for us lately" logic. ;)

Doboji (where does that come from, btw?), do you agree or disagree with the many members here who have stated that the French are obligated to us for the help they received from us in the past?

Gaard,

No I don't subscribe to that logic. But the French are continuously striving to be an effectual influence in the world today, and if they desire that influence, they need to stub snubbing their nose at people, and spend more time with their hands in the mud. They're very quick to point fingers at everyone for their faults, and last to admit and deal with their own corruption. I am disgusted by their behavior in regards to Iraq, and not because they didnt want to fight... but because they did and continue to block everything and anything the US and Britain try to push forward, regardless of the merit. They do this out of their own selfish interests, whilst proclaiming their generosity and virtue... frankly I find it dispicable. I don't expect them to help because of what we did in WWII, I expect them to help in order to live up to the standards they brag about so loudly.

They may have been more effective if they used good ol' American missles.

Ok I concede..... you win. Viva la france :D

Win what?

Oh, I get it now...that invention (being a "toy") completely invalidates all other French inventions.

Sir; your logic is indisputable, and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Nonononono.... I was making light of the argument... the Etch a Sketch is one of the best toys ever:)... I loved that thing...

Anyway I'm just expressing frustration towards the french... especially lately... Clearly they aren't completely worthless....

Well, they can sometimes make "being difficult" an art form; however when have they not? I think we need to get used to it.

and the most important French invention in history

the bikini

The bikini was invented in 1946 and named after the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands, the site of atomic bomb testing. The inventors were two Frenchmen, Jacques Heim and Louis Reard. Of course, Heim and Reard didn't create the idea of the bikini; drawings of bikini-like suits have been found on wall paintings dating back to 1600 B.C. The modern term "bikini" for a particular bathing suit design was first used by Heim and Reard (who were, in reality, the re-inventors of the bikini). Heim was a couturier designer from Cannes, France, who had designed a very small bathing suit called the "Atome" (french for atom). He hired a skywriting plane to advertise his design by skywriting "Atome -- the world's smallest bathing suit" Three weeks later, Reard, a mechanical engineer, had another skywriting plane write "Bikini -- smaller than the smallest bathing suit in the world
