French Cuffs

Don't care for them except with formal wear (suit or tux).

Cuff links are fine with white and/or colored shirts.

I have a few shirts with French cuffs. I only wear them with suits but I do use some funky cuff links.

I like french cuffs. I'm not necessarily wearing a suit but I'm not wearing jeans either.

I'm hoping those briefs are seamless and not "seemless"? 😛

As for french cuffs...most people talk about them like it's a new invention. They tend to be a little more formal, but I have no problem wearing frenched cuff shirts for casual occasions.

you can wear them with suits (not just tux) and with any color shirt

but, it IS dressy, so wear it when you feel dapper, but not as an everything unless you are a douche

additionally, since it IS dressy, make sure the whole outfit works - all pieces are styled and fitted correctly. wearing it just for wearing it and with ill fitted clothing will look SLOPPY

Now, John, you've to wear clothes in proportion to your physique. There are definite dos and don'ts, good buddy of wearing a bold striped shirt. A bold stripe shirt calls for solid colored or discreetly patterned suits and ties.

I love french cuffs. Get ready to invest in the cufflinks. I usually go double-cuff. I have a single one but I never wear it anymore because it doesn't have that boldfold where it's linked.

My personal taste says if you wear a french-cuffed shirt, wear a jacket. Don't go out with just the shirt.

French Cuffs, do you like them? Are they only good for tuxedo shirts or are dress shirts with french cuffs. Are cuff links only acceptable with a white shirt or do they work with colors?

About 1/3 of my shirts have french cuffs, and all but one is white. I wear them for my normal business professional dress.

Someone gave me Tateossian cufflinks that are working thermometers. There's some other neat cufflinks out there just begging for french cuffs. Edit: The compass is pretty neat, but a working tachometer would be cool, too.

french cuffs are too strong a look, imo. i occasionally wear suspenders, but i steer clear of the french cuffs.

Agreed. My Tux shirt is French Cuffs but that's it.

I love French cuffs. I have a white, canary, and a purple shirt. I have worn them with jeans - you gotta make sure the entire outfit works though with the right jeans, shoes, sports coat and so forth.

I like french cuffs... although more accurately I like faux french cuffs that have snaps that look like cufflinks.
