Are you sure your using the correct driver, I know on one of my hard drives it has a jumper setting to limit it to 32 gb? Not sure. What happans when you delete the partition and try to install?

partitition?? i dont have a partition , i try to install windows it goes to the partitition screen so i can set , then i get errors. 🙁

2 things w/ this board, 1 make sure you have the latest bios, 2 it seems to require more Vdimm than normal and it seems to under report the Vdimm volatage, so set your Vdimm to 3 volts (I know it sounds crazy) and then try and install. Also fyi your board came w/ a floppy disk that has SATA drivers on it make sure you hit F6 when windows ask for 3rd party drivers and load the SATA drivers.

ok will do, but here is a pic of my problem, http://tinypic.com/1ywjmb, this happend right after i formatted my drive. i did the long version of the format. also i dont have a floppy drive installed should i install it ? one more thing after that pic , i restarted my comp and tried to isntall the os again and it came up wit another error same window but different saying. it said something about Page_fault_in_nonpaged and in the bottom it said techenical acip.sys something , something. so this is where im at , i just restarted and reset cmos so im back at the post screen.

If you don't have a floppy drive installed, how did/do you plan to load the SATA drivers?

cause i dont plan to raid, the disk says SATARAID DRIVER DISK n VIDIA nF4 silicon image 3114 rev.1.0

Hey Threats, I had the same problem. Are you trying to use the harddrive out of an old system? I built a new Gigabyte-AMD system and tried to put the harddrive from my Sony VIAO P4 system in and got the exact same screen. You have to get a new Windows cd, not one from the original manufacture. Hope this helps.

You still need the drivers, otherwise Windows won't see the SATA controller or the drive hooked to it.

Install your floppy drive, power on, boot from the windows CD, and watch for it to say "press XX to install a third party disk driver", then press that key and follow the instructions

ok guys ill try to install the sata raid drivers once i get my hand on a floppy disk drive. o yea , i tired reinstall xp again but this time i got a different error (still looks the same , an all blue screen with white letters) but this time it says the problem mayb be the follow file cdfs.sys. then it says something like PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

I used to get that same error over and over and over and over... I was trying to install windows on my computer with different configurations for about 4 hours. Usually you don't have to install any driver when you're installing windows onto the main ide channel, (the one controlled by the north bridge) but for some STUPID FVCKING reason I had to put the drive onto one of the secondary channels and do the F6 thing to install the drivers. I think there may have been something wrong with the IDE controller on my motherboard though.

Seems like you might have things under control now... any updates?

guys , i forgot to mention that this copy of xp is a copy of an orginal xp from a from a while back. i lost the original cd a while back so i been using this burned one this whole time. also i tried installing it again now i get a differnent type of error , lol i get different errors each time.
i still havent tried installing the sataraid driver yet , but i will once i get a floppy drive.
