freezing shaving cream prank..

One way to find out, right? Just jamb that knife on in there; you'll find out quickly enough if it's frozen or not.

see, i'd rather not DIE. i may do this next weekend. but i dont wanna die in the process. does anyone have experience with this? does simply putting it in the freezer work?

Frozen or not, that sucker's gonna blow when you punch into it.

Your simmest hope is going to be to freeze it solid, then use a pinhole drill into the strongest part of the can to try to relieve the preasure before cutting into it.

Seriously...what are you freaking thinking? Are you STUPID? This thing is pressurized. For example, if you want to ruin someones day, put a can of shaving cream in the microwave in their kitchen, turn it on, and disappear.

Freezing it to anything above -100C won't help. Below that, I'd be willing to punch through it with a knife.
 
1. Get a cheap can of shaving cream
2. put it in your freezer for about 2 days
3. put a hole in the can (hammer and nail)
4. cut the can in half you should have two white chunks
5. place any where and the will expand when they warm up but be warned the 2 combined will fill a trash dumpster easily.

You know what's fun? Throwing an aerosol can into a camp fire while everybody is sleeping. I swear, it sounds like a bomb has gone off.

I just did this with a few of my friends a few days ago...we froze it for about 24 hours in a deep-freeze and used a hacksaw to cut it open. I kow for sure it wasnt frozen all the way because it started spewing out as soon as we penetrated the canister...but there werent any explosions or anything. As far as it expanding to fill a dumpster....i dont think so. We put the two chunks in an abandoned car on a hot day...and it expanded to maybe the size of a basketball.
 
from what i keep reading on this, is that your home freezer doesnt get cold enough to freeze the can? so im not to sure about this. and it seems rather dangerous to try and get to the frozen cream since its under such great pressure......


people have also recommended using a can opener to open the can or something?


just doesnt seem safe enough.
 
OH gads. Don't encourage him. I nearly blew myself up plenty of times as a kid trying stupid stuff like that myself. My best was my home made spud gun. Thankfully I had enough brains to use a reinforced steel pipe and encase it in concrete that was inside of a reinforced outer pipe. (aka I made sure that it was impossible for that thing to exploded in any direction except out the muzzle)

Dude, my best suggestion, don't do this. Being a darwin award winner at your age is not a good thing.

spud guns rule! i used to have one. so simple and so cheap to build yet they provide tons of fun.
