I have been doing a lot of troubleshooting on this one, and can't seem to isolate problem entirely. Anywhere between 10-30 minutes of 3D gaming results in a hard freeze, where the video stops, the sound stutters, and no input is recognized. This happens in Q3, Unreal Tourney, and Tiberian Sun.
System:
MSI K7TPro (BIOS 1.5), Duron 650, 128MB RAM
WinME, latest software updates on drivers and games
Voodoo3000 AGP and NVIDIA GeForce 256 DDR, latest drivers on each
Processor temperature has not gone past 42C, according to onboard monitoring.
My next step is to borrow a PCI Voodoo card and see if that makes a difference. Anyone else with other suggestions or things I could try? Thanks in advance.
