Freezing and Unfreezing

Have a new Abit KT7-Raid board with 1.2 T-Bird and 256mb 133 Case 2 Ram. Every now and then my screen freezes for 10 sec. and then unfreezes for 5 sec. Will keep doing this until I reboot and then all is fine. Might not happen again for days. Anyone else ever have this happen or any ideas what it might be? Sounds heat related but my processors runs at 33C to 47C well within range.

What PSU are you using,you may need a higher wattage,AMD approved.

do you have MS office installed? see if Find Fast is installed on start up...it'll lag your pc just like the symptoms you mentioned. Just disable it
