I just intalled a Devil Monster 8500LE and have not been able to run 3DMark or play Warcraft 3 without freeze ups. I have uninstalled my old vid(intel 845G onboard) and removed it from the registry. I also downloaded the drivers from the ATI website. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix the problem, or is the card trash?

Thanks,

Nolan

Which drivers are you running? The latest Catalyst 2.2 drivers have a few bugs in them if your running those I'd suggest going with previous set, the Catalyst 2.1/6094.

I got the freeze problems solved, but I can't run 3DMark. Every time I try about 2 or 3 tests in the monitor shuts off like I have shut off the computer, and will not turn back on. I have to reset and then the motherboard gives those lovely beeps that says the vid card memory is bad. However, if I wait just a few seconds the computer will start up just fine with no problems. I did not go to older versions of the driver yet, I just removed one piece of a mismatched set of memory, had one singel bank 256 MB PC 2400 and one double bank 256 PC2400. I was able to play WC3 for a couple of hours with no problems. But machine fubared when I tried to run 3DMark.
