which is best, all i know of is adaware and spybot, i only want 1 installed, i'm not big into having lots of stuff installed nor am i paranoid, i also dont want any of the ones that needs or forces to run at startup
There is no reason not to have Spybot, adaware, Microsoft WIndows Defender, and Spywareblaster installed at the same time. Some catch things that they others dont. The only one that actually runs in realtime is Microsoft defender and even then it does not take up much resources.i only want 1 installed
The only one that I listed that has services running all the time is Windows Defender. Spybot and Spywareblaster have passive prevention that neither have services nor take up system resources. Adaware's free version is scanner/remover only, no prevention measures.i just want 1 basic simple that works good without services running all the time
