Damn, i'm old fashioned.

I just use services.msc & msconfig & task manager :Q

i want to be able to see what software the other computers on the network have, when they expire, what processes are running on them, permissions, etc, all over the network, no client side software needed.

I doubt you will find this for free in one tool. You could take some freewar tools and glom them together and get closer, with remote registry and RPC.

pslist for processes,
srvinfo gives some stuff


other apps that I think would provide this functionality. Check the 2000 or 2k3 res kits, they have tons of cool stuff.

Freeware written by individuals generally will add features in future versions. Once it's bought out, features start quietly vanishing. :(
