Price gone up.

Btw.. This should have no problem running Far Cry.
To confirm, read reviews in Newegg. People were able to run Oblivion under Medium Setting.

My personal experience, I was able to run Company Of Heroes with average frame rate, which is the same result as my XFX 7600GS

I bought an 8800GTS because the 6200 just wasn't suitable for gaming. Others may differ, but I don't recommend the 6200 for gaming. Even after OC'ing and unlocking the pipes, it still just didn't cut it for Supreme Commander, CoH, and Doom/Quake.

IMHO, of course. And bear in mind I'm in Vista, which some state has a decelerating effect on 3D game speed due to driver immaturity at present ... and I run at 1600x1200, my LCD's native resolution. If you're happy with 800x600 or 1024x768 in a pinch, 1/4 that amount of data, then a 6200 with an OC and pipeline unlock (such as what this model can provide) should be wonderful.

Well, yes but there is quite a HUGE difference between what you paid for the 8800GTS and this card. I would NEVER recommend a 'budget' card for someone with plenty of cash to throw around. I would also NEVER recommend a 'budget' card for someone who is a gamer. That being said, I would recommend a 6600GT for a casual gamer or this card (which works out to about a 6600) for someone who plays games every now and then.

Now that the price has gone up another $5 and the price of the BFG 6600GTOC has come down another $5, I will again recommend considering getting the BFG 6600GT OC card over this one. For a $20 difference, I don't think this card is worth the work nor do I think it has the performance potential or resale value of the BFG card.

Was anyone able to update the BIOS using the one from the first post?
When I tried, the NVFlash complained that the card and the new BIOS have different IDs...
:(
