Freelance PC repair/assistance...Equipment/rates?

It is a slight investment, but it is stuff that would be helpful for PC troubleshooting at home and on the side. A job or 2 would probably pay for all of the above anyway. Any other equipment that would be a "must have" for sidework in my spare time? What would be fair rates to charge for the following?

-Virus/Spyware removal
-Data retrieval
-Operating System/Software troubleshooting/reinstallation
-Hardware troubleshooting and installation
-Upgrade consultation
-Personal wireless/ethernet network setup

I charge $50 / hr, hour minimum. If the machine gets taken home, it's the same deal, $50 / hr + parts. It's too hard to make up a pricing scheme for different computer situations b/c I've ran into situations where it'll be a "virus" issue that turns into an OS install, which in turn, turns into bad sectors of the hard drive etc etc.

I charge $75 an hour for regular PC probs and $120 if its a corporation networking prblem. I also do flat fees and follow-up fees depending on the job. I am also incorporated for insurance purposes. If you want to freelance, do yourself a favor and get incorporated. Its cheap and your ass is covered if you fubar.

I guess this forum doesn't allow uploader.ws links.

Anyway its a pic and pricing of the following:

-OZC 4GB USB flash drive
-Bytecc USB HDD adapter that takes regular HDD, Laptop HDD, and SATA HDD connections
-WD Passport 120GB portable HDD for data backup purposes
-Belkin 30$ toolkit

Guys, if you're getting the "un-authorized referer" [sic.] copy and paste the link into your address bar, then hit refresh once it loads. It's checking the HTTP_REFERER header sent when you click on a link embedded in another webpage.

Anyway, PSUPef2k: nice choices. Make sure to load the removable drive with all sorts of drivers under the sun, motherboard drivers, HP (and others) universal print driver, etc etc. On the flash drive have stuff like JSPowertools, AVG and spybot.

😱 @ people charging $75/hour for freelance tech work. Wow. Here that's about £30 per hour. I should really get into that!

It was missing the www

Still doesn't work

Well open the first link and then put the www in the beginning of the address.
If that do not open you might have to change your DNS server, if you want to see.

Did you just not read my post explaining it and how to get around it at all or what?
